FORGIVENESS IS THE KEY TO FREEDOM!

PROF COLIN O’NEIL JARRETT was born in Alexandria, St Ann, Jamaica West Indies to parents Rev Drs Harry and Clover Jarrett, Counselling Psychologists. Prof Jarrett brings to the music ministry, education and media landscapes over 40 combined years.

PROF JARRETT, who has been in music ministry for over 40 years, is a member and Assistant Organist at the East Queen Street Baptist Church, Kingston, Jamaica. He is former Choir Director of the Evangelism Choir at his Church which boasts 100 voices. PROF JARRETT, who has been playing the organ since age 4, is a former National Youth Chairman of the Jamaica Baptist Union.

He has been in education for over 30 years both in delivery at the secondary and tertiary levels, curriculum development and educational administration. He is currently President/CEO of Health, Education and Counselling Institute/HECOIN, an online flagship international institution with offices in St Catherine, Jamaica.

His media experience spans 25 years. He was a news writer, editor and presenter at LOVE FM in Jamaica and hosted the program “The Morning Watch”, a leading interview program, regarded as the fourth best morning program in Jamaica based on an all-media survey. PROF JARRETT also hosted “Awe Its Sunday” on Awe Radio, Florida, USA in 2016 which featured old time gospel songs and hymns which had a listenership of close to 20,000 persons from the Caribbean, Canada, USA, the Cayman Islands and several continents in Africa. He engaged UFDV radio as a partner with Awe Radio at that time. He currently holds the position of Director of News and Current Affairs at McKoys News in Jamaica (www.mckoysnews.com) and Senior Editor at Vision Newspaper in Canada (www.visionnewspaper.ca) both online newspaper entities.

He has been given several awards including the International Award for outstanding contribution to ministry, leadership and education in the Caribbean endorsed by the Caribbean and African Faith-based Leadership Council and endorsed by The White House under former President Barrack Obama. He is also a Fellow of the Organization of International Educators/FOIE and Commander of Distinguished Special Envoys/CDSE. He sits on various school boards in Jamaica and is former Advisor to former Mayor of Montego Bay Noel Donaldson. He has undergraduate studies in Education in Business and Communications, graduate studies in health care administration, PhD in International Marketing and Doctor of Ministry/DMin along with Professorial studies in Media. In addition, he is an Ambassador on global education to the United Nations through the Word of Life Ministries International/WOLMI.
